From its humble beginnings in the world of rocket science, ASTROGLIDE emerged as a discovery that would revolutionize the intimate experiences of millions worldwide. It all started in 1977, at Edwards Air Force Base, where a brilliant young rocket scientist was diligently working on enhancing the heat transfer in the Space Shuttle Enterprise's cooling system. Little did he know that his pursuit of technical excellence would lead to something far beyond his initial intentions.

In the course of his work, he stumbled upon a remarkable solution - water-soluble, non-toxic, and incredibly slippery when hydrated. This chance revelation sparked a novel idea in his mind.

Playfully, he bottled up some of the solution and offered it as a birthday gag gift to a colleague. But when that colleague returned, requesting a refill, he realized he had something more significant on his hands - a product that could help people explore new frontiers of pleasure. And so, ASTROGLIDE was born.

This enterprising young scientist, none other than ASTROGLIDE Inventor, Daniel X. Wray, delved into extensive experimentation, iterating through over three hundred different versions. Finally, he achieved the exquisite, silky-smooth formula that we cherish today.

In 1982, Dan licensed his creation to a small North Hollywood-based company, all while continuing his work as a dedicated rocket scientist, drawing upon his expertise in chemistry, physics, and engineering. But beneath his scientific pursuits, Dan was an inventor and entrepreneur at heart.

When fate intervened and the original licensing company closed its doors in 1991, Dan saw an opportunity to take control. He purchased the rights back and founded BioFilm, with ASTROGLIDE as its flagship product. The name itself paid tribute to Dan's roots in rocket science while perfectly encapsulating the product's smooth and gliding texture.

Our founder was a self-proclaimed "mad scientist," whose boundless curiosity and unyielding passion brought forth a revolutionary product that continues to bring joy and fulfillment to people's lives.
